The goal was simple, make a phone setup feel like a real cinema rig and push the color to that glowy, dreamy look you see in this video. Here is the full setup • iPhone 17 Pro Max in the Tilta Khronos Ultimate Kit for better grip and control • Blackmagic Camera app in Apple Log 2, 4K, cinematic stabilisation • My custom cinematic LUT applied in post For color grading I used my PowerGrade in DaVinci Resolve. On top of the LUT I always add three simple layers • Glow to make the lights feel thicker and more atmospheric, especially at night • Vignette to keep the focus on the subject and add a subtle cinematic frame • Film grain to break the clean digital look and add a soft, organic texture In DaVinci Resolve these are already built into my PowerGrade, you just turn the nodes on and adjust the intensity. The free version of DaVinci is more than enough for this kind of grade. If you only edit on your phone, use the Blackmagic Camera app, apply the LUT directly and be smart with your locations. Night city lights, neon signs or soft natural light combined with the right LUT will already give you a very similar glowing cinematic effect.
