How do VFD Switching Frequencies Affect Harmonic Distortion

VFD switching frequency refers to the rate at which the DC bus voltage is switched on and off during the pulse width modulation (PWM) process. Harmonic distortion occurs when a VFD converts power from an AC to a variable frequency output to a motor. The harmonics occur as the transistors rapidly turn on and off at a rapid speed. Harmonic distortion in a drive can be reduced by increasing the speed the at which the IGBTs operate to get a cleaner sine wave for better motor operation. ► Learn more about VFD Switching Frequency: https://kebblog.com/vfd-switching-fre... ► Subscribe to Our Channel Here:    / kebautomation   -- Follow KEB America Here -- Website: https://www.kebblog.com LinkedIn:   / keb-automation-kg   Facebook:   / kebamericainc   Twitter:   / kebamerica   Instagram:   / keb_america
