Hey guys, While I use my Helix for all of my guitar and bass tones, I have been experimenting and trying out some of the amazing tools from Neural DSP. I realize the Parallax bass plugin from Neural DSP has been our for the better part of a year, I wanted to give it shot. So I re-tracked my bass performance from my most recent single, Black as Metal, and used Parallax as my bass tone and boy was I blown away. After having spent but a few minutes tweaking and playing with the interface, I created a delightfully heavy and gnarly bass tone that brought about some serious girth and weight to the bass tone. I kept everything within the plugin, using the onboard mic/cab emulation. Now granted, the type of bass tone I created will not be suitable for all styles, but with the amount of flexibility you have within the plugin, you should have no problem creating a tone that is right for you. I hope you guys dig it. I can't say it will become my go-to bass tone, but this plugin is definitely worth a look and some serious consideration. Cheers Gang!
