While Luke tried to fix his memory core, he discovers a crack in his memory banks. R2 tried his best to prevent the data on his memory banks from being released to the Grand Master. However eventually R2 displayed a 50 year old recording, it was Anakin revealing his force visions of Padmes death to his wife during the waning days of the Republic. R2 tries to explain that it must be a corruption but Luke takes the droid to a slicer to find out more. Luke then discovers a recording in which Padme reveals to Obi-wan that she is in love with Anakin, the first time that the Jedi would learn his mothers name. Later on, R2 was forced to reveal another tape, this time Anakins promise to Padme that she would not die in childbirth. This unsettled Luke as Anakin held Padme not in a loving way but in a possessive way. However, the next tape was so distressing that Luke was forced to meditate for sseveeral days, it was the killing of the younglings at the Jedi temple. The final few tapes showed the vile act of Anakin force choking Padme as well as her final death during Lukes and Leias birth.
