Police searching for a hit and run driver

WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. Police are looking to speak to the owner of a Ferrari involved in a deadly hit-and-run earlier this weekend that killed one man and injured two others. The El Nuevo Herald has reported that the Ferrari is owned by Pembroke Pines racing enthusiast Radomin Delgado. Miguel Larrieu was lucky to survive the crash and remembers the entire ordeal. "All of a sudden, at the point of impact, it sounded like a bomb," Larrieu said. Larrieu and his partner of 20 years, Jorge Arrojas, were headed home from a dinner party along Interstate 75, just north of Northwest 138th Street, when the Ferrari struck their vehicle, causing it to collide with another vehicle. Arrojas, who was driving, died on the scene. "On his face, it was a look of peace," Larrieu said holding back tears. "Like if the angels were coming. I tried to do my best to wake him." Larrieu and the driver of the other vehicle were treated and released. Delgado, however, fled the scene, leaving the luxury Ferrari behind. "We know who the owner is," Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Joe Sanchez said. "At this time, what we need to do is put somebody behind the wheel, the person who caused this fatal accident, the person who was driving recklessly on I-75 that caused this accident." Delgado has hired the services of an attorney. Authorities are also looking to see what Delgado looks like. If he was behind the wheel, he could have injuries consistent with someone involved with such an accident.
