How To Share Live Location Using Google Maps Learn how to share your live location with friends and family using Google Maps on both iPhone and Android: 1. Enable Location Services • For iPhone: go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services; turn it ON. Then select Google Maps and set it to Always. • For Android: ensure Location is enabled and Google Maps has permission to access it all the time.  2. Open Google Maps • Tap your profile picture (top-right corner). 3. Go to Location Sharing • Select “Location sharing”, then tap “Share location”. 4. Choose Sharing Duration • Pick a time (e.g., 1 hour) or choose Until you turn it off for indefinite sharing.  5. Select Contact • Choose someone from your contacts (requires Gmail address or, on iPhone, you can share via a link in Messages). 6. Send the Invite • Tap the contact, then hit Send (you may use Messages, WhatsApp, Email, etc.). 7. Track and Be Tracked • The recipient can now track your live location in Google Maps. • You can also view their shared location back, if they’ve enabled it.  8. Stop Sharing Anytime • Return to Location sharing, tap the person’s icon, and then Stop.
