The owner of this bike was good enough to allow me to stop him so I could record this video and talk about his bike. The 1942 WLC began as the WLA, a unit manufactured for the US army during WWII. It became the WLC when purchased by the Canadian army. Harley made some important changes to the engine for what was expected to be rough army service. The compression was lowered and head finning area increased to help in cooling. Changes made to extend durability and the bike had a very good reputation with riders during the war for it's reliability.
