In today's video, we take you on a beautiful trip to the surroundings of Přemyslovice. We will visit the Strážná Lookout Tower, from where we will enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, and then we will head to the Přemyslovice Windmill, which is a great place to relax and learn about history. The Strážná Lookout Tower in Přemyslovice was opened in July 2025. This place is located in the Prostějov region in the Czech Republic. The lookout tower is 10 meters high and offers a view of the surroundings. In the past, a watchtower stood on the Strážná hill, when merchant routes led through it. The Přemyslovice Windmill is about 1 km from the lookout tower. The Přemyslovice windmill was originally a wooden Dutch-style mill and was moved to Přemyslovice from nearby Plumlov in 1841. After a fire in 1883, it was rebuilt the same year and milled until 1945. The mill has a high historical value because it has not undergone any structural modifications and the interior equipment has been preserved in its original form. In 1965, the mill was declared a state technical monument. The mill is unplastered, which is a typical feature of the buildings of the Drahanská vrchovina. There are possibilities to build a private museum of wind energy use in this exceptionally preserved mill.
