Maternal death story

She had been in hospital for nine hours when she needed critical care from a doctor but the doctor was not in the hospital to save her life. She died 10 hours later on a stretcher as her distraught husband watched helplessly. She is among the tens of women who died each month in Nakaseke, Uganda while giving birth. But the Center for Health Human Rights and Development took steps to change this situation.
