On my last day in Taiwan, I explored two of the most magical destinations near Taipei: Jiufen and Shifen, and it felt like walking through a Studio Ghibli film. ✨ In Jiufen Old Street, often called the real-life Spirited Away town, I wandered through nostalgic alleyways, tried traditional snacks, and enjoyed a peaceful cup of tea at the iconic A-Mei Teahouse with a dreamy view of the mountains. Then in Shifen, I released a sky lantern with my wishes written on it, a beautiful tradition said to bring good luck. I spent time with nature at Shifen Waterfall, also known as the “Little Niagara of Taiwan.” This solo travel experience reminded me how healing it is to slow down, travel with intention, and be present in the moment.
