Luminary Nail Systems is a multi-flex gel, often called a builder-in-a-bottle. It’s a unique hybrid of a soak-off builder gel and a structured base coat, offering the flexibility of a gel polish base with the strength of a builder. Unlike hard builder gels, Luminary is soak-off and self-leveling, making it easier to work with and perfect for structured overlays and natural nail strengthening. Even though it can be soaked off, I still prefer using an efile for removal and rebalance services. 💡 How It Compares to Rubber Base Gel Rubber base gels are flexible base coats that contain elastic polymers, giving them extra “stretch” to move with the natural nail and reduce lifting. Luminary provides similar flexibility and adhesion. Many nail techs group it with rubber bases when explaining it to clients—but Luminary has a thicker viscosity and more strength than most rubber base gels.
