Spider Wasp Hunts Down A Wolf Spider And Drags It To Its Death!

Shot in my backyard, here in Texas, with the Galaxy S5 in 2015. I cut out the audio because at the time my family and I were building a chicken coop. So it was basically hammering and drilling sounds the whole time. Spider wasps are solitary wasps that use a single spider as a host for feeding their larvae. They paralyze the spider with a venomous stinger, drag it back to their den and lay a single egg inside of the spider. The larvae slowly eat the spider from the inside out. Want to learn more? Some ask why I didn't help the spider. I love both wasps and spiders. I find them fascinating but, sometimes you have to let nature do its thing... Its very brutal thing.
