Friends if you want to travel from Mumbai to Alibaug then best route is by ferry which starts from Bhaucha Dhakka in Mumbai and Mandwa jetty terminal in Mandwa. If you travel by road then approximate distance from Mumbai to Alibag is around 100 km and it takes you around 2-3 hour by road whereas if you travel by ferry then the distance is 19 km which takes around 1 hour by ferry. A huge saving in travel time between Mumbai and Alibaug. There are three type of plans in this ferry one starts from 390 onwards and 2nd one start from 490 onwards and 3rd one starts from 1500 onwards. One plan gives you access to zone seating and AC restaurant whereas 2nd plan gives you access to upper deck seating and mini bar. The last 3rd plan gives you access to a premium lounge along with priority parking and boarding. M2M ferry operates three times a day during weekdays whereas on weekend it operates 5 times. The no of trips also depends upon condition of sea. The plan charges are also vary during weekend and weekdays. There is heavy rush during weekends do plan ferry tickets in advance otherwise you may not be able to book the tickets at the last moment. The tickets are booked online and if available then you can also book at the booking counter. In this M2M ferry you can take your personal vehicles as well your special friends I.e. pets. M2M ferry can take around 120 vehicle and around 750 passengers in one trip.
