German Lesson #1. Personal Pronouns in German.

Welcome to my channel! My name is Egor Chulkov, and I'm a German teacher. I've been teaching German for over five years, and during this time, I've worked with countless students from different countries with varying language learning goals. During my teaching career, I've developed a thorough understanding of how beginners view the German language and the challenges they face. Most importantly, I've learned to explain language topics in such a way that I often hear people say in class, "Hmm, is that all? I thought it was much more complicated." And now I've decided to share my knowledge with you so that absolutely anyone who wants to can learn German. In my first video, I'll talk about personal pronouns in German: what they are, how to use them, and what they're used for. List of pronouns: • I – ich [ikhь] • You – du [du] • He – er [ea] (the "r" after vowels in German is not pronounced and sounds more like an "a") • She – sie [zi] (we draw out the "i") • It – es [es] (we almost always pronounce the letter "e" as an "e") • We – wir [via] (the same as with "er") • You – ihr [ia] (informal, addressing a group of people) • You – Sie [zi] (respectful form) • They – sie [zi] Learn these pronouns and start studying the next video!
