Costa Rica Zipline in a cloud forest

While visiting Monteverde, we went on a canopy tour ziplining through a cloud forest up in the mountains. We went to 100% Aventura, which everyone said was the most extreme, scariest zipline course around. They were right - it was intense. This included 9 normal-style ziplines, working up to a long one over a large gorge. Then, we moved on to 2 Superman-style ziplines across the gorge, with the longest measuring 5,220 feet long (just under a mile). These were so high the giant trees below looked like toys. It was so scary, but we all did it and loved it. At the end, there was the option to do the mega Tarzan swing. You step off of a platform way up in the air, free fall for 150 feet until your tether catches, then swing above the treetops. Leah really wanted to do it and wanted me to do it too, so the two of us did it. I can't believe I stepped off, but it was fun!
