I want to talk about two things. First, the financial reality. A diamond the size of a thumb would likely be well over 100 carats. Stones that size are extremely rare and can be worth millions, sometimes tens of millions of dollars. So when someone says diamonds the size of a thumb will appear in meetings, they are talking about massive wealth literally appearing in the room. Second, I want to look at whether Scripture ever teaches anything like this. The Bible speaks about treasure in heaven and the beauty of the New Jerusalem, but there is no example of diamonds or gemstones appearing during church gatherings. I will also mention that Todd Bentley has promoted similar manifestations in the past, including claims about gold dust and supernatural jewels appearing in meetings. I am not a cessationist. I believe God still moves today. But Scripture commands us to test everything and hold fast to what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
