I congratulate you, my mother, on your special day. I pray to God to grant you more health, to lengthen your life, and to make happiness your destiny. It's not enough, my mother, to congratulate you and pray for you. If it were up to me, every second I would kiss your hand and bring you the whole world. You carried me, my mother, in your womb for nine months, and after that, two years of breastfeeding. Your heart overflowed with love for me, and after breastfeeding, years of care. All your concern was that I would be happy. You wouldn't sleep, my mother, except When I sleep and you turn off the light, But your light, Mother, remains shining In our home and within me, palaces are illuminated. I am a bird, Mother, And you are my nest. I draw my strength from a kind word From you and a smile on your face. And anything that hurts me, its cure is The gentle touch of your hand and the words "It's okay." When you are sad, Mother, You hide it in front of us. And when you are alone, Mother, You break down. I know everything, But I pretend I don't.
