💧 Water Baptism Doesn’t Save Us — But Jesus Commanded It!

Water baptism itself doesn’t save us — only Jesus saves us through His blood and grace. ✝️ But Scripture shows that both blood and water are part of God’s plan of salvation. The blood of Jesus washes away our sins — that’s His part. The water of baptism is our act of obedience and response to the Gospel — that’s our part. Many people minimize the importance of water baptism or treat it as optional, but Jesus never did. He said, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.” — Mark 16:16 And the disciples obeyed His words: “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.” — Acts 2:38 Through baptism, we are buried with Christ and raised to new life (Romans 6:3–4), showing that our old life is gone and we now walk in obedience to Him. The blood makes salvation possible; the water shows our covenant response.
