Little Prelude in F Major, BWV 927 | Kleine Präludien | Piano tutorials | J. S. Bach

Prelude was originally an instrumental introduction to hymns in the church. It later became the introduction before a fugue or suite. In Bach's time, preludes always served as contrasts to fugues, and sometimes as an independent piece. Bach has written three sets of preludes for the clavichord. The set of BWV 924-932 was composed in 1720 for W.F. Bach, who was Bach's favourite son.
