Deriving a Simple Linear Demand Equation from a Demand Schedule 📉

Deriving a Simple Linear Demand Equation from a Demand Schedule 📉 In this video, I demonstrated how to form a demand equation using a simple demand schedule — showing the real link between price and quantity demanded. From the table of prices (₦3–₦7) and corresponding quantities (30–10), I calculated the slope of the demand curve to be -5 For every ₦1 increase in price, quantity demanded decreases by 5 units. Using the linear form , I found: Q_d = 45 - 5P This simple exercise shows how mathematics helps us understand consumer behavior and the law of demand — key foundations of Economics. At @Dpenomics Academy, we continue simplifying Economics for students, teachers, and young minds who want to learn how real-life decisions are shaped by numbers. #Economics #Demand #LawOfDemand #Microeconomics #TeachingEconomics #DpenomicsAcademy #Education #Nigeria #Students #LearningEconomics #EconomicEducation #TeachForNigeria #Teachers #MathematicsInEconomics #Economy #InspiringTeachers
