What to draw in my bullet journal this time? Seasonal themes are the easiest to come up with. Christmas, Easter, summer, Valentine's Day... And now — Halloween. I use super obvious topics when I don't have too much time or energy to invest in coming up with that perfect idea. For October, my first thought was an octopus — just because it sounds the same. My little octopus needed some friends, so I drew shrimps, crabs and starfish. For Halloween week I made a twist of this month's theme - all the cuties in costume. I changed my daily boxes a bit. By keeping them open at the bottom, the sea creatures could take up a bit more space. I really like the flow of the page (no pun intended). I collect all my ideas in notebooks or apps. Collecting ideas in a notebook is probably the most underrated tool when it comes to creativity and it's my most important tool. For bullet journal spreads, I tend to keep it very simple. My main focus is to have a structure — and something that makes me smile to look at. It helps a lot to keep those creative blocks away. Some tricks and tools can really help you find more ideas.
