Dosa is a traditional Indian breakfast that is often perceived as a high-calorie dish. But, the calories are determined by the ingredients & preparation, and this recipe will make you a dosa fan as it combines the best from both of these superfoods Moong and oats. ►INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup Whole or split Moong ¼ tsp. Fenugreek seeds 3 tbsp. rolled Oats flour or 4 tbsp. Whole rolled Oats 1/2 cup Water 1/4 cup curd or 1/2 lemon if vegan 1/4 cup chopped Coriander 1/2 inch Ginger 3-4 Garlic cloves 3-4 Chilies 2-3 Curry leaves 1/2 tsp. Cumin 1/2 tsp. Turmeric 1 pinch Asafoetida or skip for gluten free 1 tsp. Pink Salt or regular Ghee/Butter for making dosas or Oil if Vegan ►INSTRUCTIONS: Combine 1/2 cup of whole moong with the fenugreek seeds, place it in a container of water and soak it overnight or for 6–8 hours. For sprouted moong, drain off all the Water and cover it with a moist cloth and let it there for 24 hours. Now use only as much sprouted moong as you need, and then refrigerate the leftovers. After a thorough wash, blend them with all the other ingredients and water. Pour the batter into a bowl. The consistency should be similar to a regular dosa batter. Take an iron or nonstick skillet and heat it. Grease it well. Pour the batter onto the skillet and spread it thin to a round shape. Cover with lid. Reduce the flame to low and cook the dosa in low flame till it is crispy. When the dosa turns golden brown, remove lid, flip and cook on the other side for a min. Now your dosa is ready to be served.
