But she returns under dire circumstances, with Gorr the God Butcher on hot pursuit as he looks to make gods extinct. Gorr will be played by the mighty actor Christian Bale. Beyond our initial reaction we certainly intend to comprehend where Thor finds himself. So we intend to rewatch some of his films to prepare for Love and Thunder, where Valkyrie returns and so does Jane Porter. In this trailer we see plenty of the action and humor that awaits us. And yet we hope it’s not misleading us with a hint of a greater love story unfolding. Sure we get the God Bod presence with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Natalie Portman (Jane Porter) looking INSANELY fit, and yeah it ignites a renewed sense of motivation for a more intentional fitness regiment for us mere mortals, but ultimately we want a solid story of how these “gods” must prevail over darkness with a transformative selfless love and unwavering passion for possibly each other… But hey no high expectations right?! We have to believe that if the likes of Christian Bale and Natalie Portman sign on to work on this, it must be the brilliant work of a profound script by writer/director Taika Waititi.
