Laws of Seasons by Apostle Joshua Selman. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (KJV) Psalm 90:12 (KJV) So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV) We ride in this kingdom on the strength of the mysteries that we know. There are severe consequences for not knowing some mysteries or truths. Influence is powerful because there are certain levels of Revelation you cannot be trusted with until you rise to that level. Genesis 41:1-37 (KJV) When God created the earth, He made the stars to indicate times and seasons. The mystery of the law of time and seasons is applicable to all regardless of you being a believer or not. All seasons have their features and there are certain things given to you by the reason of the season that you are in. There are privileges that comes with a season that affords you certain comforts and luxuries. It is terrible to be irrelevant and out of season in your lifetime. This has plagued many individuals, families and communities. Seasons are powerful. They determine over time if we have been walking in wisdom or foolishness. In every man's life, there will be a season of fatness and a season of leanness. There is a deception that comes with seasons of Glory, wherein people think they will permanently be in a certain position. It is a dangerous thing to be once relevant and you are currently being used as a negative reference. Psalm 90:12 (KJV) Life is deceptively brief and seasons can change. Learn the wisdom that comes from alternating seasons and master them in order to remain relevant. The seasons of abundance should be maximised to build a support system and reserve that would be beneficial during the seasons of constraint and scarcity. The Four Major Seasons in Every Man's Life: 1) Morning Stage: This is the first 25 years of a man's life. These years are meant to be invested in thorough learning and working (especially in spiritual things). 2). Afternoon Stage: This spans from 26 - 50 years. It is the stage of execution and walking in the fullness of your purpose. The Four Major Seasons in Every Man's Life: 3). Evening Stage: This spans from age 50 - 75 years. It is the stage of Legacy where maximum Kingdom impact is made. This is where you mentor the upcoming generation about your mistakes and achievements. Here you build institutions that reflects your value systems. 4). Night Stage: This spans from 75 years above should be the stage of rest. Be careful with over-seeking comfort at a young age. If you sleep 8 hours everyday, by the time you are 30 years old, you would have slept for 10 years. The advice of Joseph is Save and Invest. And the most precious commodity to save and invest in is TIME. If you lose time and gain things, you have lost. But if you lose things and gain time, it is still a gain. Keys to Maximising the Seasons of Plenty and Abundance: 1). Build Capacity (Spiritual and Intellectual capacity 2 Kings 4:1): This includes investing in your Prayer and Word life. 2. Build Quality relationships (Ecclesiastes 4:9): Relationships are advantageous connections. They have the ability to make or mar a person. It is beneficial to have and invest in quality relationships. Do not let circumstances choose your relationships. Choose your own relationships by deliberate design. Genuine people are scarce; They are like gold. Pay the price to find them early. If you have genuine relationships and the gift of men, you are wealthy indeed. Build powerful relationships! Let people qualify for your friendship and companionship. Beware of people who want to be your FRIENDS without adapting their values. Love is the command, association is not. 3). Selflessly invest in blessing and transforming many lives. (1 Samuel 22:1-2, 2 Samuel 23:8-17) 4). Study and carefully follow those who have maintained relevance through seasons. (Hebrews 6:12) The key to transgenerational relevance is to impact a generation and grow with them. Do not let a generation pass without investing in, and lifting them selflessly. Invest in people at every opportunity you get; This is one of the fundamental principles of leadership. Visionary leaders do not retain people as followers, they turn followers to leaders and further turn those leaders to agents of change. Consistent results are proof that you have gained mastery. Your victory will remain, but seasons will change. If you obey Joseph's advice, you will remain victorious. Everytime God gives you an opportunity to serve, He gives you an opportunity to learn. You will not be a student forever, maximize the opportunity in submission and honour. When you see consistent result, learn to honour it. Learn to honour everyone ahead of you. They didn't get there by luck. Just because you were relevant yesterday does not mean you will be relevant tomorrow. Life is in circles, you must master the cycle of your relevance.
