This offense has been the epitome of mediocrity sitting in the middle of college football in almost all statistics. Mertz has picked it up after the week 1 struggle but hasn’t shown the ability to light up the scoreboard. On defense they have been pretty solid especially against the pass but will have their hands full with Rattler. This team has not had the start they were hoping for. After finishing last season strong this team was expected to be a top dog in the SEC. They’ve started the season 2-3 with a close loss to Georgia and losses to Tennessee and UNC. They rely heavily on the offense who has been stellar ranking 14th passing wise but with an abysmal run game. The defense needs to step up.
