Satan is a master at twisting scripture. We need to be fully surrendered to God's will all the time, and remember always that we are in a real battle for our lives and eternal existence at all times. Many times things don't turn out the way God has revealed He willed them to because of disobedience on our part. God's promises are sure, but conditional. If we fall, we have a sure Advocate, Jesus Christ the Righteous to hold on to. He is the One through whom all the promises are ours. Most of all we need to remember that ultimately God's promises apply to His soon coming Kingdom. Strive to be there as you press on to the mark of your high calling.
