Based upon "Latex", a performance by Maren Strack, "subcutánea" ("under the skin") was conceived by Héctor Moro, who made the music (which uses almost exclusively Maren's dress noises) and assembled the piece using elements from the original performance, for the 2002 Éclat Festival in Stuttgart, Germany The film is a documentation of the performance, since its first part (until Maren rises) is performed originally under dim lights, almost in complete darkness; the music being able to create a special mood that gets lost in the film.
