When Mal took Ben to a hospital, she found herself diagnosed with brain cancer. There is no cure for her brain cancer. She wants to go back home, but Ben insists that she stay at Auradon and take the treatment. Jane meets a mysterious man hiding in her barn. She has a crush on the mystery man, but she doesn't know who he is. Little does she know that it's actually Carlos dressed in Ben's clothes. Ben wants to see Mal, but his parents are upset that he is seeing another girl other than Audrey. Ben wants to swap his identity with Carlos whenever he visits Mal. Carlos takes on a new identity and Jane falls in love with Carlos's alter ego. Barbie: Mal, you are diagnosed with stage three Globlastoma. Mal: Say what? Barbie: It's a type of brain cancer. Evie: She is not going to die, right. Tell us that she will be ok. Mal: How long do I have? Barbie: The good news is that you could still live for about 15 more months. Some people can live up to 5 more years after their diagnosis. Mal: This this doesn't make any sense. I've never been sick before. Barbie: If you could tell me where your parents are, then I could explain all this to your parents. Mal: My mother can't come. She is locked behind a force field on the Isle of the Lost. Barbie: Who is your mother? What about your father? Mal: It doesn't matter. Evie, I want to go home. Barbie: You need a treatment. You need to be admitted to a hospital right now. Mal: You said there is no cure. I'll die either way. I want to go back home. Act4: Ben: What's wrong with her? Barbie: She is sick, but you. You are all better now. How do you feel? Ben: Never felt better. Is there a cure for Mal? Barbie: No. We can make her final days less painful, but there is no cure. Act5: Audrey: Ben Ben. Stop.
