Should you travel during pregnancy? Can traveling negatively impact your baby's health? Traveling during pregnancy is good, but it's important to take some precautions. During high-risk pregnancies, travel should be comfortable and safe. You should carry all your medications and all your reports with you whenever you travel, as in most cases, delivery occurs before or sometimes after the due date. You should also carry your insurance papers with you. Your seat should be comfortable during travel, whether you're traveling by car or train. You should sit with your legs stretched out and keep them moving to keep your ankle joints active. In addition, you should take a walk every two hours, eat a small meal, and drink fluids. This is because prolonged sitting and lack of hydration increase the risk of clots in your legs and blood vessels throughout your body. Your clothing should be loose and comfortable while traveling. You can also use compression stockings to reduce the risk of clotting. A doctor's note is required when traveling by plane because the aircraft crew may not be able to perform a delivery or emergency delivery. Therefore, airlines prohibit travel after 24-26 weeks. You shouldn't worry about the baby being harmed by the plane's shocks. The baby is protected in amniotic fluid, and such a small shock won't cause harm. Watch the full video for more information.
