Hebrews Chapter 2

Hebrews Chapter 2

The book of Hebrews authorship is not certain. There is nothing in the letter to tell us who wrote it nor is there a strong tradition to associate an author with the book. Some think that Paul wrote it but the style and vocabulary are very different from Paul’s other letters. The Greek is much more refined than what we normally see from Paul. However, if it was written by someone else than that person must be acquainted deeply with Paul’s teaching. The Epistle depicts Jesus, who offered the supreme sacrifice for the sins of the world, as the great High Priest of the line of Melchizedek a priest who blessed Abraham in early Jewish history and though not from Levis but honored by God. Its primary message meant to demonstrate that Jesus Christ was the accomplishment of all Old Testament prophecy and symbol. With Christ as the fulfillment, there is no longer a need to offer the animal and other sacrifices required under the Mosaic Law. Jesus is the High Priest and intercessor of all believers in all ages. ★☆★ CONNECT WITH NIV Live Audio Bible ON SOCIAL MEDIA ★☆★ Facebook:   / nivlive   Twitter:   / thenivlive   Pinterest:   / nivlivebible   Website link: www.nivlive.com
