Spring Onion Pakoda is a crispy and flavorful Indian snack, perfect for tea time or rainy evenings. Made with fresh spring onions, besan, rice flour, and aromatic spices, these pakodas are crunchy outside and soft inside. They are quick to prepare and pair wonderfully with tomato sauce or green chutney. Ingredients: Spring onions – finely chopped Besan (gram flour) Rice flour Ginger-garlic paste Green chilli – finely chopped Fresh coriander leaves – chopped Onion – ½, finely chopped Cumin powder Black pepper powder Turmeric (haldi) powder Amchur (dry mango) powder Red chilli flakes Garam masala Salt – to taste Water – as required Oil – for deep frying Tomato sauce – for drizzling (optional) Method: Finely chop the spring onions and transfer them to a mixing bowl. Add besan, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, coriander leaves, chopped onion, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, amchur powder, red chilli flakes, and garam masala. Add a little water and mix well to form a thick batter. Add extra besan if needed for proper binding. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Drop small portions of the pakoda mixture into the hot oil. Fry until golden and crisp, flipping occasionally for even cooking. Remove and drain on absorbent paper. Drizzle with tomato sauce if desired and serve hot. Serving Suggestion: Serve hot spring onion pakodas as a tea-time snack with tomato sauce or green chutney.
