Call of Duty might not have been fully honest about removing Skill Based Matchmaking from Black Ops 7. A lot of players already suspect that SBMM is still active despite what Treyarch announced, so share this video with your squad so they know what to look for. We were told that BO7 would launch with an Open playlist that barely considers skill, and a Standard playlist that keeps SBMM. The issue is that players are seeing a big difference between the difficulty of lobbies you get through the Open playlist Quick Match button and the lobbies you get when you pick the individual Open playlist modes like Moshpit. The going theory from players on X like ghostofhope is that SBMM does not apply when you select specific Open modes directly. But if you use the Quick Match option, those lobbies feel tougher and might mean SBMM is still active there, either by accident or on purpose.
