At 0800GMT, the cardinals attend the Pro Eligendo Pontefice Mass, which will be presided over by the Dean of College of Cardinals Giovanni Battista Re. At 1430GMT, the cardinals gather in the Pauline Chapel to pray and proceed to the nearby Sistine Chapel. Once in the Sistine Chapel, the cardinals take an oath of secrecy on a bible placed on a stand. Then, Master of Ceremonies Monsignor Diego Ravelli calls out the key Latin words “extra omnes”, meaning "all out" and assistants and helpers leave, and he closes the doors to the Chapel. Two Swiss guards stand outside the closed doors while the cardinals are in conclave. This feed features the smoke billowing from the Sistine Chapel chimney after the first voting session.
