What was meant to be a peaceful solo summit wild camp in the Lake District turned into a very soggy setup when the weather took a turn. The forecast said sunshine, but as I reached my camp for the night, the skies opened up and everything got soaked. Setting up camp in the rain was a bit of a nightmare with wet gear and a race to get the tent set up before everything was completely drenched. Once I was finally inside, though, the mood changed. The rain fell softly through the night, and despite the wet start, this turned into one of the most peaceful nights I've had out in the wild. On the way down, I got caught in a hail shower, to top it all off! This trip was a gentle reminder that wild camping doesn't always go to plan, but that's a part of the experience too. It's not always epic views and golden sunrises; sometimes it's about adapting, staying calm and finding peace in the chaos.
