Chapter 5 - The Villa By Brendan Graeber, Dio Lacayo, Sam Stewart, +2.0k more updated Apr 3, 2023 advertisement Welcome to IGN's guide for Resident Evil 4 Remake. This page contains information on the fifth chapter in the game, including how to escape the church, find the remaining treasures in The Village, and how to survive the attack on the Villa. Note that this guide for the Remake differs from the original Resident Evil 4 Walkthrough in many ways, as Chapter 5 is comparable in length to that of Chapter 2: Part 2, though certain encounters, enemies, and story elements have changed. Defeating the Savage Mutt Surviving the Villa Assault Leon may have finally found Ashley, the President’s daughter, but getting her out of this terrifying village in one piece won’t be so easy. Already, villagers have been summoned to hunt for you, and the chapter will begin with you cautiously crouching on the upper level of the church as they look for you below. Escape From the Church RE4 Ch5 1 1.jpg Thankfully, as long as you remain crouched, they shouldn’t see you (and bars have dropped down where you entered so they can’t reach you anyway), but if you’re spotted now they may race outside and make things harder when you go to make your escape. Treasure - Yellow Diamond RE4 Ch5 1.jpg Before making your escape, be sure to sneak back into the room where you found Ashley. There’s a censer hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room, and you can shoot it (the Villagers shouldn’t hear) to reveal a Yellow Diamond. Village Treasure 31 - Yellow Diamond 1 RE4 Ch5 2.jpg Keep crouching as you angle your way around the second floor to the far hall, and be sure to look around on the ground for a File - Broken Cell Phone that Ashley will remark upon. At the end of this hall is a wall with a collapsible ladder just out reach, but you can interact with it to boost Ashley up and create a path for you to follow. advertisement RE4 Ch5 3.jpg Once in the attic area of the church, Ashley will move to an open window, but first you should be sure to check around the side to break some barrels. One of them should have some Attachable Mines for your Bolt Thrower, and it may come in useful at the end of this chapter. RE4 Ch5 4.jpg Interact with the window to hop down and coax Ashley down after you. RE4 Ch5 5.jpg You’ll be on a low rooftop that you may have explored earlier — if not, be sure to grab the Flash Grenade up here. Once you drop down to the ground, you’ll get your next objective from Hunnigan to find a place to extract at. If you didn’t explore the back of the church in an earlier chapter, check for a treasure box and other items, then sneak over to the side room that has the Typewriter, and save your progress. If you have room for most of your weapons, try to have a good mix, as you’ll be doing a lot of running and gunning very soon. Treasure - Yellow Diamond RE4 Ch5 001.jpg Another Yellow Diamond can be found in the church, thanks to the Small Key you looted by the altar in the last chapter. Next to the typewriter in this side room is a locked drawer you can interact with to get it. If you forgot the Small Key, you’ll have to blast your way back into the church to retrieve it. Village Treasure 32 - Yellow Diamond 2 RE4 Ch5 007.jpg Now it’s time for the big escape. Leave the side room in a crouch and you should spot a Villager woman chanting with her back to you. RE4 Ch5 7.jpg Quickly silence her with your knife, then slink away against the left wall as more Villagers move to enter the church to look for you. Wait for two to pass by, and then stay crouched as you move out the gate. Re4 Ch5 10.jpg
