First Reading: Hebrews 4:12-16 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 19:8, 9, 10, 15 Alleluia: Luke 4:18 Gospel: Mark 2:13-17 We often hear the expression, “birds of the same feather flock together.” We are all “birds” wearing the same sins, converging in Church and our renewal communities to be forgiven and be renewed. Yet, we often fail to realize that the people we find contemptible in church or community project the same sinfulness we possess. We cannot quit on people so easily because God never quits on us. This is the 1012th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
