Wash and soak rice and moong dal together for 15–20 minutes. 2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. 3. Fry cashews till golden. Remove and keep aside. 4. In the same ghee, add bay leaves, jeera, cardamoms, cloves, black pepper. 5. Let them splutter for a few seconds. 6. Add the soaked rice and moong dal. Sauté for 2–3 minutes. 7. Add turmeric powder, salt, and sugar. 8. Mix well and add the fried cashews. 9. Pour in water and close the lid. 10. Cook on medium flame for **2–3 whistles**. 11. Let the pressure release naturally. 12.
