ABOUNT THE MISSION - After a tense reunion with Pierson, you and your squad will be tasked with claiming the last bridge that American armored divisions can use to cross the Rhein. Using cover, you can advance towards the bridge either up the road with your tanks, or on a path to the left that will give you a slight high ground advantage after you take out the Germans there. Once you get to the bridge, take out all resistance. Head to the guard tower on the right, you’ll be able to enter it after a flamethrower trooper clears it out for you. Make your way to the second floor, and take out the resistance there. Grab any supplies you need. Once you get to the top floor, there will be a few Germans to take out, but one of the gunners up top will throw his hands up in surrender, keep your guns aimed at him but do not fire in order to complete this level’s first Heroic Action On your way back down, stop on the second floor, there’s a water canteen on the ground next to a dying German soldier, the level's first Momento. Once you’ve regrouped downstairs, proceed down the bridge with your platoon and march towards the other side of the river, taking out any soldiers you see. Once you reach a certain point, the Germans will detonate charges on the bridge but it will remain intact. Stoukas will come from over head and try to take it out as well. After a few beats, Germans will begin opening fire on you through the smoke on the bridge. Hit the sides of the bridge for good cover. On the left-hand side, there’s a German sniper rifle you can grab, and if you have Pierson call out enemy locations, you’ll have an easier time making your way down the bridge The most difficult part of this section is spatial awareness. You’ll have to take out the panzerschreck crews, snipers, and machine gunners on the bridge towers, but the architecture of the bridge will force you to move around in order to get them all. When you’re behind cover, you’re not necessarily safe, since soldiers will throw grenades at you, so get ready to move or throw them back at a moment’s notice. Once the area has been cleared out, you’re going to have to secure the left tower. Your platoon will help you take out the base, but there are three more floors you’ll have to mop up on your own. On the second level, you’ll find a beer stein, the level’s second memento On the third floor, a machine gun nest will be trained on the stairs. Pop a grenade or two to disorient or kill them, and then advance slowly. The table next to the machine gun has a document on it, the level’s third and final memento. Once back at the base of the tower, you and your platoon are heading out to take a German anti-air gun to use against their bombers. A torrent of German soldiers will be guarding the tunnels, but smoke will pop to protect you from them. Cross the bridge down into the trench and clear the trench of German resistance on the way to the AA gun In the trench, you’ll hear a soldier struggling against a Nazi. This is the level’s second and final Heroic Action. To save him, go around the trench on the left-hand side. You’ll be able to to take out him out from behind. It's hard to pull off, even on the easier difficulties, you need to be quick and find an angle on the Nazi's head that leaves your ally safe. After your planes have shown up, make your way back through the trench to regroup with your platoon at the head of the tunnel. Clear out the machine gun nests and anti-armor divisions you see. After a few beats, an explosion will hit the entrance of the tunnel, making your character foggy and sluggish. A slow motion scene will trigger, where German soldiers will begin charging you. Take them out before they’re able to get to you. Call of Duty is a military video game series and media franchise published by Activision, starting in 2003.
