Outrun, Top Gear, and Lotus Turbo Challenge are just a few of the racing games that I absolutely loved as a kid—I always wanted to know exactly how that 3D effect was created! Now I finally know, and I even program games myself using very similar technology, so let's take a closer look at the fake 3D tricks (I've simplified a few things for easier understanding). I'm also combining this with my review of SLIPSTREAM—a title for Nintendo Switch that's practically an homage to those iconic racing games of the '80s and early '90s. And what about you?
