Advice for students right before the exam...

“Growing up, I always wanted to help people. Back then, whenever someone asked me what I want to be when I grow up? I always ended up saying different things —a physicist, a scientist and sometimes even a pilot. But as I got older, my dreams narrowed down to being a doctor. I realized that is one way to serve humanity —help them heal. The next few years went by in studying medicine. I worked really hard and became a doctor and during my last year of internship is when my heart yearned for more. Something in me said that I need to get on the field and help people change their lives. So I quit and began my UPSC preparations. I turned my full focus to it and didn’t let any distractions come between me and my dreams. And within 2 months of preparation, I cracked the UPSC prelims exams. But my heart broke when I couldn’t clear my mains. It took me another 2 attempts to clear the exam. I had finally made it. I served as a civil servant for 7 and a half years. And as years passed, I heard stories of students struggling to pass the UPSC exams —kids falling prey to stress, depression and fear of failure. This is when I decided to dedicate my life to help students clear UPSC exams. I resigned and started Tasthastu ICS —India’s first institute that provides integrated courses with UPSC preparations, so that no student is left behind without a plan B.” Cracking the UPSC exam is not easy. But we have Dr. Tanu Jain who not only cracked the exam in just 2 months of preparation but resigned the post after 7 and half years to help students live this dream. She wanted every student to have a plan B, so that they don’t have to worry about failing in life.
