Sunday September 13th, 2020 is a very special day on many fronts: 1. Moon transits Pushya Nakshatra on a Sunday and it is the most auspicious day to take a Holy Dip in Scared Waters/ Rivers and offer prayers to Surya (Deified Sun God) and to the Pitris (Ancestral Spirits/ Forefathers). 2. It also happens to be Indira Ekadashi Vrat (11th Lunar Day) in the Lunar month of Aswayuja (Purnimantha) in the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the Moon) and said to be one of the best days during this fortnight of the Ancestors and honouring them. This is as per Devarishi Narad who narrated the benefits of keeping a vrat (fast) and remembering Vishnu to help attain Moksha (liberation) for our ancestors. 3. A very rare astronomical and astrological phenomen that happens only once in few centuries (400-500 years). Six out of nine planets in Vedic Astrology will be in their own Signs. Many of them are also in the Rashi of their Moolatrikona and many are also in the most auspicious quarter of Pushkara Navamsa.
