Max Verstappen will be on pole at the Japanese Grand Prix - after an outstanding lap in qualifying - here’s what we learned from the session. Verstappen broke the record for fastest lap ever at Suzuka, set by Sebastian Vettel in 2019. It means a fourth pole in a row in Japan for Verstappen - and his reaction says it all. It was a disappointing session for his teammate Yuki Tsunoda - out in Q2 finishing 15th - a position behind the man he replaced at Red Bull, with Liam Lawson in 14th. Elsewhere - a great session for rookie Isack Hadjar in 7th ahead of his racing hero Lewis Hamilton in 8th. And we saw a fifth fire of the weekend at Suzuka, disrupting qualifying. Some rain is expected on Sunday - could we see another chaotic race like in Australia?
