I NEED SPAIN -90"-ENGLISH

When you mention to a foreigner that you are Spanish, this usually immediately outlines a smile and says, "How nice, how much sun!", "What great food you have", "How good you live!." you hear that from an English man who eats a sandwich as lunch in front of his computer every day day, or a Japanese who probably sleeps in the subway back home. Thinking of them and their scenarios, I saw it clear: they need Spain. I need Spain. We won the account Turespaña with this international campaign, which brief was to position Spain as a tourist destination at a higher level now. Not only beach, also culture. Not just a relaxing week but more time visiting more sites. Not only talk to the "guiri", but to a more heterogeneous public with higher cultural and purchasing level. The result was this marvellous campaign, shot by Julio Medem, in the month of January and for 3 wonderful weeks. Soundtrack -tenor Inclusive, Roque Baños. Cuando mencionas que eres español a un extranjero, este por lo general esboza inmediatamente una sonrisa y dice: “Qué envidia, cuánto sol!”,“Qué buena comida”,“Qué bien se vive”. Te lo dice un inglés que come un sandwich frente a su ordenador todos los días, o un japonés que probablemente duerma en el metro de vuelta a casa. Pensando en ellos y en esa estampa, lo vi claro: necesitan España. I need Spain. Ganamos la cuenta de Turespaña con esta campaña internacional, cuyo brief era el de posicionar España como destino turístico en un nivel más alto del actual: no sólo playa, también cultura. No sólo una semana de relax sino más tiempo visitando más sitios. No sólo hablarle al guiri de tumbona, sino a un público con mayor poder adquisitivo y más heterogéneo. El resultado fue esta bellísima campaña, rodada con Julio Medem, en pleno mes de Enero y durante 3 maravillosas semanas. Fabulosa Banda Sonora tenor incluído de Roque Baños.
