The Birthmark, by Nathaniel Hawthorne

The Birthmark, by Nathaniel Hawthorne

The Birthmark is a classic American Literature short story about a mad scientist in love with a woman who is perfection -- almost, except for a small birthmark. The Birthmark seems intentionally placed to show that imperfection is unattainable, but whether that imperfection is placed by God or nature Aylmer won't let that stop him from trying to make her perfect, whatever the cost may be. Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Birthmark is included in his most famous short story compliation, Mosses from an Old Manse. Many of the short stories in that volume have a theme based in skepticism of science, and the corruptibility of scientists. 📘📚📘📚📘 The Birthmark ebook: https://americanliterature.com/author...
