The key point today is to differentiate between replacement and without replacement – because they are very different! When you have replacement, a ball is drawn out and then put back in. This means the number of choices is not decreasing; instead it is staying the same! But if you do not have replacement, a ball is drawn out and then it remains outside so that the number of choices for the next ball to draw is one less than before.
