Guitar god Eric Clapton performs Crossroads and Little Queen Of Spades (4:18) on Fender Stratocaster in the first of four Los Angeles concerts. Eric Clapton: A Celebration of 50 Years of Music Tour was live at The Fabulous Forum, Inglewood, CA on September 13, 2017. Clapton is joined by keyboardists Walt Richmond and Chris Stainton, drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Nathan East and vocalists Sharon White and Michelle John. Blues rockers Gary Clark, Jr. and Jimmie Vaughan are special guest opening acts. Crossroads is the opening number on the live half of the Cream 1968 Wheels of Fire double album with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. The Robert Johnson Cross Road Blues revision is also on Cream's 1968 Farewell Concert and 2005 Reunion in London. Robert Johnson's Little Queen of Spades is from Eric Clapton's album Me and Mr. Johnson released in 2004. The rock legend performed earlier in 2017 at New York City's Madison Square Garden on March 19th and 20th and at London's Royal Albert Hall in May. The original LA March dates were postponed due to Clapton's illness. Showtime will release Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars, a documentary the network produced on the life and work of the guitar legend.
