Hello to all you English language learners and IELTS candidates - David here. Welcome to my first video on the topic of FAMILY. I know this can be a difficult English language exam for some people - especially the IELTS SPEAKING test. Don't worry! If you want to improve your fluency, I'm here to help you with my Band 9 native speaker model answers. And remember, if you can SAY it you can WRITE it. You may find interesting ideas and language to improve your IELTS WRITING. You can even improve your IELTS LISTENING skills. Many candidates won't have enough ideas for the IELTS Speaking and Writing in order to get a Band 7, 8, or 9. If you are not sure what to say or what's the best way to say it in natural-sounding English then this video will definitely help you. I guarantee you will learn natural-sounding English vocabulary, grammar structures, and pronunciation on the PART 1 Topic of FAMILY. This is how native English speakers really talk and write about this. Whatever your family is like, you will find the best words and expressions here to improve the way you describe yours. What's the best way to use this video? Here are a few ideas for you. 1: Study the language in each model answer and find new things you can say about your family. 2: See how I give extra information to extend my answers - very short answers = low band score. 3: Stop the video and read the model answers to learn better ways to talk about your family. 4: Combine different parts of answers to create your own extended and improved version. 5: Listen to my native English accent and then try to copy it to improve your own pronunciation. 6: Repetition is key to learning - the more you watch and practice, the better you will become. 7: Do you understand everything you hear? Listen and read, or close your eyes and just listen. What not to do. I don't advise trying to memorize any or all of the answers. This is not a very useful way to improve your English and become a fluent speaker. Try to formulate answers that describe your own family using the ideas in the video. That's a much better way to improve your English. Here are some shortcuts to help you find exactly what you need.
