"The Bold and the Beautiful"

Eventsman contacted Filmages to create an animation video for a private event. Collaborating with the very talented illustrator Harry Harrison (SCMP, Wall Street Journal), Filmages concentrated all its effort on animating two-dimensional drawings and unfold them in a dynamic narration. Leaving a rainy Scotland, our hero arrives in Hong Kong, enjoys a cultural chock, before starting to adapt successfully to his new life... The drawings were provided in black and white, we then added a whole vocabulary of animation and compositing tricks to bring a very entertaining cinematic style into the animation. Although we were initially given a general storyline, we handled most of the storyboard, story and visual punches. Last but not least, Filmages designed the sound effects and created an original sound mix integrating a Scottish voice-over and its witty tone. In just two weeks, roughly 160 drawings and a few coffee breaks, Filmages delivered a unique anniversary video for its client and special guests.
