Among other things, a fake block lands Mario in the dungeon along with other captured Bob-ombs. Mario befriends a girl named Bombette and blasts him free. She decides to continue helping Mario and accompanies us from now on. ✒ GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAME: Intelligent Systems, Nintendo's internal first-party game developer, had the brilliant idea of reviving Square's Mario RPG "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" with a sequel. However, Square owned the rights to the name, and so "Paper Mario" was quickly born. Another role-playing game starring Mario, but with a unique graphic style. The entire world is made of paper, even though you move around in a three-dimensional world. What initially seems strange or childish soon reveals itself to be a brilliant look, not least of all affecting the gameplay. After a long development period, the game was released in 2001 for the dying Nintendo 64 (and in 2007 for the Wii's Virtual Console) and, not including the Wii figures, sold 1.38 million copies. Bowser, the King of the Koopas, along with his assistant Kammy Koopa, invades the Star Sanctuary, the home of the Star People, floating high above the clouds. He seizes the power of the Star Staff and uses it to banish the 7 Great Stars into cards. From now on, none of the Star Children's wishes can be granted. Furthermore, Bowser now has infinite power, which allows him to easily kidnap Peach.
