Frankenstein – Summary Author: Mary Shelley Genre: Gothic Horror, Science Fiction The story begins with Captain Robert Walton, who is exploring the Arctic. He and his crew find a weak and exhausted man named Victor Frankenstein. Victor starts telling his tragic story: Victor was a brilliant science student from Geneva. Fascinated by the secrets of life, he experimented with chemistry and anatomy. Finally, he succeeded in creating a living creature using dead body parts. But the moment the creature came to life, Victor was horrified by its ugly appearance and ran away, abandoning it. Lonely and rejected, the Creature tried to connect with humans but everyone feared him. He taught himself how to speak and read, but he realized he would never be accepted because of how he looked. Filled with pain and rage, he sought revenge on his creator. The Creature demanded Victor make him a female companion, promising to leave humans alone. Victor started but later destroyed the second creation. Angry, the Creature killed Victor’s loved ones, including his best friend and his bride Elizabeth. Grief and guilt drove Victor to chase the Creature across the world — which is how he eventually ended up near the Arctic, where he meets Walton. After finishing his story, Victor dies from exhaustion. The Creature appears again, crying over his creator’s body. He regrets what he has done and says he will disappear forever, planning to end his own life. #animation #movie #hollywoodhungamaexplainer #horrorfilm #explain #moviehorrorstories
